How Carsbuddy Takes Care of Premium and Luxury Cars: Our Process From Handover to Aftercare

By Carsbuddy ·

A premium car is not just expensive. It is usually the car its owner notices every scratch on, and the one whose paint condition decides its resale value. We treat it that way. This is how Carsbuddy takes care of premium and luxury cars, step by step, so you know what happens to yours from the moment it arrives.

Why Premium Cars Need a Different Standard

  • Factory paint is worth protecting. Once paint is repainted or heavily polished, it is no longer original. Protection is cheaper than correction.
  • Soft, high-gloss finishes mark easily. Dark colours, piano-black trim and matte or satin finishes show swirls and fingerprints fast.
  • Panels and sensors are costly to replace. Bumpers, headlamps and bonnets on luxury cars are expensive to repaint or replace after a stone chip or scrape.
  • Resale value depends on condition. A car with clean, original paint and a documented protection history is easier to sell well.

Our Process

1. Consultation and inspection

We look at the car with you under proper light and note existing swirls, chips, dents and previous repaint. We ask how you drive it: city commute, highway runs, weekend use, covered or street parking. Then we recommend what fits. That might be front-end PPF only, full-body PPF, or PPF on high-impact panels plus a ceramic coating on the rest. We tell you what you do not need.

2. Careful handling

Premium cars are handled with clean microfibre, protected panel edges and no shortcuts around trim, sensors, badges or camera housings. The car is washed and decontaminated by hand, not through a brush machine.

3. Paint preparation

Protection locks in whatever is underneath it, so preparation is where the finish is decided. We wash, decontaminate and, where the paint needs it, machine polish to remove swirls and light scratches before any film or coating goes on. We correct what is needed and no more, to preserve the paint.

4. Protection that matches the car

  • Paint protection film: we are an XPEL authorized installer. Film is offered with up to ten years of protection and a written warranty. Premium owners typically choose between the tiers in our PPF quality guide, such as Ultimate Plus or Ultimate Fusion, which add a self-healing, stain-resistant top coat.
  • Ceramic or graphene coating: adds gloss, water repellency and chemical resistance, and makes the car easier to wash. It does not stop stone chips, which is the job of PPF. Many luxury owners use both.
  • Window tint and sun control film: heat and UV rejection for the cabin and windshield.
  • Satin and matte finishes: wraps and matte-finish PPF need different care from gloss paint, and we advise on this before you choose.

5. Updates while we work

You get WhatsApp updates and photos while the work is in progress, so you never have to wonder what is happening to your car.

6. Handover walkthrough

We go over the finished car with you panel by panel, in good light, and explain the care instructions for your specific film or coating. Light haze or tiny water pockets under new film are normal while it cures, and we tell you what to expect.

7. Aftercare that continues

Looking after the car does not end at handover. Visit any studio if you see an edge lifting, a stubborn stain or a damaged panel. Warranty support carries between our studios in Bangalore, Kochi and Coimbatore. Our PPF care guide covers washing and what to avoid.

How We Make Sure the Details Are Right

Premium cars are judged on small things: an edge, a corner, a line around a badge. These are the checks we build into every job.

  • Inspection on arrival and again before handover. We note the car's condition when it comes in, and compare it with the finished car in good light.
  • Edges and corners checked panel by panel. Film edges should be tight, clean and sealed, with no lifting, dust or trapped debris.
  • Paint checked before it is covered. Any swirl, residue or contamination is dealt with first, because protection locks it in.
  • Trim, badges, sensors and cameras checked to confirm nothing has been disturbed.
  • Genuine product, named on your paperwork. You can see the XPEL film or coating used and the warranty terms. See how we provide XPEL.
  • Handover walkthrough with you, so you see the finished work before you take the car.

What Keeps the Protection Lasting After the Job

How long protection lasts depends on the installation, the film and what happens afterwards. Here is what we do on our side, and what we ask of you.

On our side

  • Careful preparation and sealed edges, so dirt and moisture do not get under the film.
  • Quality XPEL film with a non-yellowing, self-healing top coat, backed by a written warranty of up to ten years.
  • Clear aftercare instructions for your specific film or coating, including how long to wait before the first wash.
  • Maintenance after the job. Visit any studio if you see a lifting edge, stain or damaged panel. Warranty support carries between our studios.

On your side

  • Follow the first-week instructions and do not pick at edges or fix small hazy patches yourself.
  • Hand wash with pH-neutral soap and a soft microfibre mitt; avoid brush car washes.
  • Remove bird droppings, sap and insects quickly.
  • Bring the car in for a quick check if anything looks off.

Light marks heal themselves with warmth, but deep cuts do not, and a damaged panel can be replaced without redoing the whole car. See how long Carsbuddy PPF lasts and how to maintain PPF.

What We Will Not Do

  • Push full-body PPF on a car that does not need it.
  • Promise a coating that stops dents or deep scratches.
  • Rush preparation to hit a delivery date.
  • Use unbranded film and call it premium.

Looking After the Car Between Visits

  1. Hand wash with a pH-neutral soap and a soft microfibre mitt. Avoid brush car washes.
  2. Wash off bird droppings, sap and insects quickly.
  3. Park under cover when you can.
  4. Dry the car after washing to avoid hard-water spots.
  5. Do not polish or wax protected paint with abrasive products.

Will PPF or coating change how my car looks? Quality gloss film is close to invisible. Matte and satin finishes are available, and we explain the look before we start.

Do I need both PPF and ceramic coating? Not always. PPF absorbs physical damage. Ceramic coating adds gloss and easier cleaning. We recommend by how you use the car.

Is the warranty written? Yes. We explain the terms before work begins. See how long Carsbuddy PPF lasts.

Will my car be handled carefully? Yes. Hand washing, clean microfibre, protected trim and sensors, and a walkthrough at handover are standard.
